Web hosting in Switzerland
Professional web hosting, on maintained versions, with a technical contact when something goes wrong. We are not trying to compete with industrial shared-hosting providers on gigabyte counts.
The technical foundation
Depending on the environment chosen for your site, hosting includes the following.
Maintained PHP versions
PHP versions still supported by their maintainers, updated as part of routine system upkeep.
HTTPS included
TLS certificate and automatic renewal. Encryption is not a paid option; it is the bare minimum in 2026.
SFTP and SSH access
Encrypted access to your site’s content, and shell access where the environment allows it.
Databases
MariaDB/MySQL, and PostgreSQL where the environment permits.
Daily backups
The site and its database are backed up every day on D&D’s Swiss infrastructure.
DNS configuration
Management of DNS records, including those for email, and coordination with your domain names.
Addressing
IPv4, and IPv6 depending on the infrastructure concerned.
Monitoring
The infrastructure carrying your site is monitored automatically and alerts are handled by our team.
Hosted in Switzerland
The site, its database and its backups are hosted in Switzerland on hardware owned by D&D.
And if your site is a WordPress?
We host WordPress sites, as we host other web environments. It works, it is common, and it presents no particular difficulty.
It is simply not our commercial focus: we do not offer a “managed WordPress” product with performance tuning, plugin maintenance and content work. If your agency or provider looks after the site, we keep the hosting running underneath — and that suits us very well.
If what you need is a simple brochure site at the lowest possible price, an industrial shared-hosting provider will probably serve you better than we would. We would rather say so.
Pricing
Configuration to match your requirements.
The price depends on the environment, the resources needed and what you entrust to us. For a standard site with its email, producing a proposal does not take long.
